Alice had a heart attack a week before she died
on the 3rd July 1950. She was already ill with a
large tumour but had refused treatment and had
kept it from her family. A bed was made up for
her in the back sitting room and she passed
away there with much of her family around her.
Whilst in her last week, without knowing she was
ill her cousin Albert Millhouse visited to tell her
that she was related to Isaac Newton but such
were the circumstances nobody took much note
of this and the truth of it has passed into history.
Alice joined Richard in Chiswick new cemetery
and she was mourned deeply by her children.
